Our Story

Founded by Danny and Trish Heke in 2021, Mozzy Foundation was established in order to provide members of the greater Brisbane multicultural community a chance to take action against social issues such as domestic violence and suicide.

Our centre has become the hub of cultural enlightenment with fantastic services for the entire family and educational programs.

We work collaboratively and allow our people to reap the benefits of integrated services.

At the heart of our services are our strength-based approach centered on the whole whanau (family); including adults, young people, and our tamariki (children).

Our Vision

To empower diverse communities through culturally enriched education, fostering pride, resilience, and community engagement.

We aim to cultivate leaders who embrace their cultural identity, thrive academically, and contribute positively to society, ensuring every young person reaches their full potential.

Multicultural Empowerment

Our Mission

Our mission is to embrace a values-based approach that celebrates multiculturalism, fostering Manaaki (kindness and reciprocity), Whanaunga (our shared humanity and connections), Mahi Tahi and Kotahitanga (collaborative efforts and collective aspirations), and Kaitiakitanga (stewardship of our future generations' well-being).

We integrate Tikanga (traditional customs) and Te Ao Māori (Māori Worldview) into our community interactions, ensuring inclusivity and respect for diverse cultures as we collectively pursue our core mission.

By following the Tiaki Promise, you are making a commitment to Aotearoa (New Zealand) to act as a guardian, protecting and preserving our home.

Mozzy Foundation supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart as an important step forward for all Australians. It is time to embed a First Nations Voice in Australia’s Parliament. This is a priority, and we must progress without delay.
